Hi, mr Koroljow...

I talked about classic LPL. If we talk about smell, this soap has the best of all soaps i ever tried.
But IMHO smell of soaps is totally unimportant, because you use Aftershave.
And non-scented soaps are better performers.

If I understood your irony correctly - the best smell is no smell, right?
:)

Exactly, Sir @AndrewB! :drinks: I'm sure, that soap without smell is the best. Because smell can't increase preformances, but FOR SURE can decrease them. And can also cause irritation (this is case by me if i use Loccittane cream). And of course, price of non-scented smell should be lower because lower costs.

Unfortunately here in western hemisphere and specially in USA people are crazy for different smells. Because that companies almost don't produce non-scented shaving soaps... Stupid, but this is reality. This is no provoke, is just my opinion.
If I can somehow understand, that Aftershave are scented, i really can't understand that for soaps.
Interesting are Italians. There professional soaps simply must have almond (mandorla) smell. I hope, @Barbadura will tell us why..:drinks:

Until now I just have opportunity to buy one non-scented soap. This was Green Mountain Soap. On internet I also saw non-scented Stirling. For that soap I'm sure, that would provide us comfortable shave, which is primary function of shaving soap.

Compromise are light scented soaps. Maybe this is exactly what Haslinger is.:drinks:

Bajkman, I'd have to disagree. Yes, in MOST cases, scent will not affect performance either way, but some essential oils favorably affect performance, I also know of at least one oil that decreases performance when added to an excellent base.

@Сева, you are professional, so thank you for your opinion.

But difference can also be, if inside the soap is
- essential oil (natural)
- fragrance oil (parfum)

Most European soaps have fragrance oil. And these fragrances can cause irritation. At least on my skin.

Cheers..:drinks:

Bajkman, for me the smell of soap is one of the two main factors. Irritation I never have, and chic lather I get from Arko:D

Bajkman, Natural (essential) oils, may cause irritation as well, albeit not as common. My worst enemy is clove and any of the evergreen family oils.
Also, "parfum" on European products or "fragrance" on American products, does not necessarily mean that only fragrance oils were used. That nomenclature is legally allowed on ingredient labels, to protect our scent formulation.

Hi, our big boss! Is nothing wrong with that. :agree: Is just opposite to my philosophy what soap should be. And yes, i know, I'm part of minority about this question.

@Сева, thank you for your explanation... If I can ask you something about your soaps. Are specification the same of most Soap smooth soap?
If not, which soap is the best for not the most coarse beard, but very hard hairs?

Which is your favorite smell of Soap smooth soaps?

Thank you...:drinks:
